Kadir Jasin, Let's Speak and Allow Bahasa Melayu to be Respectfully Understood

1. "Jingoism, vote-chasing, and hangat-hangat tahi ayam," were plain accusations upon your inconveniences to the Prime Minister. As such, has the voter's inclination turned to a specific direction since the Bahasa Melayu application has been carried out? How could language enforcement turn to extreme patriotism while native language strength is definitely a bare minimum identity for even first world nations, not to mention for both Russia and China. Pushing Bahasa Melayu forward is exactly not an unsteady business if different wings have to react in hot-blooded reasoning like yours. Promotion, codes, and executions were everywhere if you paid adequate attention. 

2. While both languages have roles to play in domestic and international relations, there is no harm for divergence. No congruent reasons for anyone as the citizen of Malaysia, further, native speakers to be afraid with the enforcement of Bahasa Melayu to appear as superior over English as the second language of the country. Since it is not, nothing is going to change if no one does anything. 

3. Swahili (of Bantu, an ancient race) is in no similar position with Bahasa Melayu with 290 million native speakers (doubling Swahili's), phonetically and grammatically easy to learn, while even foreign (high/low)-skilled labors can master the 'business standard' of this beautiful language. 

4. It is not realistic for outsiders to put extreme effort to master the said language, further with a complete set of different alphabets (arabic) as compared to Bahasa Melayu, led by the same characters as the English alphabet. 

5. Bahasa Melayu shines with a better chance to move forward and expand easily at a better rate. Why would we miss the chance that Kiswahili does not even have? A Tanzanian with approriate English mastery is a cut above likelihood to master BM but not vice versa! This is why Linguasphere knowledge is compulsory prior to exerting absurd opinions!

6. Again, what is unreasonable with foreigners putting extra effort to understand or learn Bahasa Melayu? Modern language dispersion definitely costs differently than how English colonization pushed the language with blood and land robberies. At what cost nationalism and patriotism should be priced as non-precarious?

7. Tunku Abdul Rahman, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, King Ghaz, Rafidah Aziz, Musa Hitam, and even Anwar Ibrahim were seven out of hundreds of examples for why English surfaced as a wealthier choice, and privileges in Malaysia to be put in harsh. These were sadly disoriented if language (specifically English) proficiency was to be put as a benchmark and how you glorified the medium to be "highly sought after by the international press for insights,". Did not the contents were originally valuable rather than the medium? 

8. No matter what languages you deliver, as long as it matters to others, you'll steal the limelight. So why should an easily translated language in this age be treated as a second option?

9. Perception of Bahasa Melayu as a solid disadvantage is what inhibits us to grow uniquely in diversification. As globalization converges human cultures and values, the price of culture and language should be affirmatively defended with moves. What else has been suggested to implicate a better future for Bahasa Melayu? Until when do we have to 'surrender' enforcements to local business signages and highway sign boards? Have to wait until Malaysia is rewarded a veto military power in the UN Security Council first?

10. Again, translation is not a minute burden in this tech-race era for any languages, what more the sixth largest language worldwide. 

11. Your writing is definitely on narrow nationalism and jingoistic accusation which does not allow a hero to be born in the belittled case of language survival. Being understood is one thing, but for how much longer, an international respect should be earned from a colonizer language? If so, the same example could be used on why Russia , Japan and China are still using their native languages in official governance with minute English translation by their business counterparts, and visiting delegations. 

12. Of course, it is not about taking the podium in the UN assembly as you perceived what the fight is all about. It is for the Bahasa Melayu to be the substance and link the diplomacy, where respect should be lucratively earned, rather than poorly inherited!
